Controls

  • ModelClean / Crunch / Lead / Bass / Jazz Clean / British / Modern High Gain / Fuzz — Amp voicing: Clean (2 stages, Fender stack), Crunch (3 stages, Marshall stack), Lead (4 stages, tight lows), Bass (2 stages, deep stack), Jazz Clean (dark, lots of headroom), British (looser, brighter crunch), Modern High Gain (4 tight stages, scooped) or Fuzz (hard-biased, huge gain).
  • Gain0 to 10 — Preamp drive into the first tube stage; the range depends on the model (up to +46 dB on Lead).
  • Bass0 to 10 — Tone stack bass control (audio taper). Bass, Mid and Treble interact like a real passive tone stack.
  • Mid0 to 10 — Tone stack mid control; low values give the classic mid scoop.
  • Treble0 to 10 — Tone stack treble control.
  • Presence0 to 10 — Power amp presence: a high shelf at 3 kHz from -8 to +8 dB.
  • Master0 to 10 — Power amp drive and volume: higher values push the push-pull stage into saturation.
  • BrightOff / On — Bright switch: a treble boost before the preamp that is strongest at low Gain, like a bright cap.
  • Sag0 to 100% — Power supply sag: the power amp's drive drops as the level rises, for a softer, compressed feel.
  • Oversampling2x / 4x — 2x or 4x oversampling of the nonlinear stages (polyphase IIR half-band filters, no latency).
  • Output−24 to +12 dB — Final output level.
  • Noise Gate−90 to −20 dB — Noise gate keyed from the input: below the threshold the amp's output fades out (6 dB hysteresis, 30 ms hold); -90 dB turns it off.

Best uses

  • Turning DI guitar into a clean, crunch or lead amp tone (add Cabinet Simulator after it)
  • Bass amp grit and growl on DI bass
  • Re-amping recorded DI tracks
  • Driving synths, drums or vocals through a tube amp character

Properties

Input → tight high-pass → Bright shelf → 2x/4x oversampling: 2–4 asymmetric inverting triode stages, each with coupling-cap high-pass and Miller low-pass → passive Fender/Marshall tone stack (Yeh's third-order model) → power amp resonance and Presence → push-pull soft clipper with supply sag → downsampling → DC blocker → Output. No cabinet; zero latency.
