Listen

The same music with the Slow Phase Drift preset and without the plugin. Switch while it plays.

Controls

  • Shift−2000 to +2000 Hz — Amount every frequency is moved up or down, in Hz
  • Stereo Offset−100 to +100 Hz — Extra shift applied to the right channel only, for stereo movement
  • Feedback0 to 95% — Output fed back into the shifter for spiralling barber-pole sweeps
  • Mix0 to 100% — Dry/wet blend

Best uses

  • Subtle phasing and beating with small shifts
  • Metallic, bell-like inharmonic tones
  • Barber-pole rising or falling effects with Feedback
  • Stereo widening via Stereo Offset
  • Sci-fi sound design

Properties

Signal chain: Input → Hilbert Transform (two 4-stage allpass chains) → Quadrature Oscillator Mix → Feedback (DC-blocked, soft-limited) → Mix → Output. Shifts by a fixed Hz amount rather than a ratio, so harmonics become inharmonic; zero latency.
