• ShapePump / Pump Hard / Saw Down / Saw Up / Gate 1/16 / Trance 1/8 / Sine / Triangle / Half-time Pump / Stutter — The volume curve: Pump, Pump Hard, Saw Down, Saw Up, Gate 1/16, Trance 1/8, Sine, Triangle, Half-time Pump or Stutter
• Rate1/1 / 1/2 / 1/4 / 1/8 / 1/16 / 1/4T / 1/8T — Length of one cycle of the shape at the host tempo (1/1 to 1/16, plus 1/4 and 1/8 triplets)
• Depth0 to 100% — How far the shape turns the level down (0% = no effect, 100% = silence at the bottom of the curve)
• Smooth0 to 30 ms — Smoothing of the volume changes, to keep gates and jumps free of clicks
• Phase0 to 100% — Moves the shape later in the cycle
• Mix0 to 100% — Blend between the shaped and the dry signal
• TriggerTempo / MIDI / Sidechain — What starts the shape: Tempo loops it on the host tempo, MIDI plays it once from the top on every note-on and Sidechain plays it once on every hit of the signal on inputs 3/4
• Threshold−60 to 0 dB — Level the sidechain signal must rise above to start the shape in Sidechain mode

Best uses

• Sidechain-style pumping without a kick or a sidechain route
• Trance gates and stutters on pads, chords and vocals
• Rhythmic tremolo with saw, sine or triangle shapes
• Ducking a bass under the kick on every beat

Properties

Signal chain: Input → Gain × (1 − Depth × (1 − Shape)) → One-pole Smoothing → Dry/Wet Mix → Output. The shapes are breakpoint curves over one cycle; the cycle follows the host tempo and, while the transport plays, is read from the song position so it stays locked to the grid; stopped, it free-runs at the host tempo. Half-time Pump spans two Rate notes. Stereo-linked, zero latency.
