The same music with the Slow Sweep preset and without the plugin. Switch while it plays.

Controls

  • Pedal0 to 100% — Pedal position from heel (0%) to toe (100%) in Manual mode, smoothed over 15 ms; automate it or map a MIDI CC to it.
  • ModeManual / Auto / LFO — Manual: the Pedal slider moves the filter. Auto: an envelope follower moves it with your playing dynamics. LFO: a smooth sweep at Rate or in time with the project.
  • ModelClassic / Vocal / Wide — Classic: the inductor wah's narrow peak from about 400 Hz to 2.2 kHz. Vocal: two formant peaks that move together like a vowel changing. Wide: a broader sweep from 200 Hz to 3.5 kHz.
  • Resonance0 to 100% — Sharpness of the peak: more Resonance gives a narrower, more vocal quack.
  • Sensitivity0 to 100% — Auto mode: how loud you must play to reach the toe, from 0 dBFS at 0% down to -42 dBFS at 100% (the pedal moves over the 30 dB below that).
  • Attack1 to 100 ms — Auto mode: how fast the envelope follower opens the filter (1 to 100 ms).
  • Release20 to 1000 ms — Auto mode: how fast the filter falls back after a note (20 to 1000 ms).
  • Rate0.1 to 10 Hz — LFO mode: sweeps per second when Tempo Sync is off (0.1 to 10 Hz).
  • Tempo SyncOff / 1/1 / 1/2 / 1/4 / 1/8 / 1/16 — LFO mode: one full sweep per note at the project tempo (1/1 to 1/16), locked to the bar while the transport plays.
  • Mix0 to 100% — Blend between the dry signal and the wah.
  • Output−12 to +12 dB — Level after the wah (-12 to +12 dB); the wah is already level-matched to its input, so 0 dB sits at the bypassed level.

Best uses

  • Classic wah on guitar, automated or played from a MIDI expression pedal
  • Funky auto-wah (envelope filter) on clean guitar, bass and clavinet
  • Tempo-synced wah rhythms on chords and synths
  • Talking vowel sweeps with the Vocal model
  • A fixed half-cocked pedal for a nasal lead tone

Properties

Signal chain: pedal position (Manual: smoothed slider; Auto: peak envelope follower with Attack/Release mapped over 30 dB below the Sensitivity level; LFO: raised cosine at Rate or one cycle per note, beat-locked while playing) → exponential frequency curve per model → TPT state-variable band-pass (Q 2-10 Classic, 3-10 Vocal with a second formant at 0.7 level, 1.2-6.2 Wide), normalised to 0 dB peak and lifted by +3.5 to +9.5 dB with Resonance → level match to the input (powers smoothed over 1 s, gain -12 to +24 dB) → Dry/Wet Mix → Output. The filter is modulated every sample; zero latency.
