Controls

  • Rate0.1 to 10 Hz — Speed of the sine LFO in free-running mode.
  • Depth0 to 100% — How far the LFO pushes the signal between left and right; at 0% both sides sit at half level.
  • Mix0 to 100% — Blend between the dry signal and the panned signal.
  • Tempo SyncOFF / ON — Locks the LFO rate to the project tempo instead of the Rate slider.
  • Subdivision1/2 / 1/4 / 1/8 / 1/16 — LFO cycle length when synced: 1/2 = one sweep every two beats, up to 1/16 = four sweeps per beat.
  • ModeSINE / 2 STEPS / 4 STEPS / 8 STEPS / L-C-R / R-C-L — SINE sweeps smoothly; the step modes jump between pan positions once per LFO cycle: 2 STEPS (left, right), 4 STEPS (left, center, right, center), 8 STEPS (a stepped sweep) or the L-C-R and R-C-L paths.
  • Smoothing0 to 100% — In the step modes, how much of each step is spent gliding to the new position (0% = an instant, click-free jump).

Best uses

  • Moving pads and synth beds
  • Rhythmic tempo-synced panning on guitars or keys
  • Subtle stereo motion on ambience returns
  • Ping-pong style movement on percussion loops

Properties

Input → Sine LFO (free or tempo-synced) → opposite gain curves on L and R → Dry/Wet Mix → Output. Each channel keeps its own content (no channel crossfeed) and the effect has zero latency.
