Best uses

  • Mastering bus dynamics
  • Controlling a boomy low end without dulling the top
  • Taming harsh upper mids on vocals or guitars
  • Per-band level balancing with Solo to audition each band
  • Broadcast-style density

Properties

Input → complementary crossovers (four cascaded one-pole low-passes, subtracted from the remainder) → 4 bands, each with stereo-linked peak compression, knee and makeup → Mute/Solo/Bypass → Sum → Master Output → Output. The bands sum back to the original signal with compression off; zero latency.
