Controls

• ShapeSine / Triangle / Saw Up / Saw Down / Square / Random / Smooth Random — The wave: Sine, Triangle, Saw Up, Saw Down, Square, Random (holds a new value each cycle) or Smooth Random (glides to it).
• SyncFree / Tempo — Free runs at Rate in Hz; Tempo takes one cycle per Length, locked to the host's beat while it plays.
• Rate0.01 to 20 Hz — Cycles per second in Free (0.01 to 20 Hz).
• Length8 Bars / 4 Bars / 2 Bars / 1 Bar / 1/2 / 1/4 / 1/8 / 1/16 / 1/32 / 1/2T / 1/4T / 1/8T / 1/16T / 1/2D / 1/4D / 1/8D — The length of one cycle in Tempo, from 8 bars to 1/32, with triplets and dotted values.
• Phase0 to 360 deg — Moves the start of the cycle (0 to 360 degrees).
• DestinationCC / Pitch Bend / Channel Pressure — What it sends: a controller (CC Number), pitch bend or channel pressure.
• CC Number0 to 127 — The controller it sends (0 to 127): 1 mod wheel, 7 volume, 10 pan, 11 expression, 74 cutoff.
• Channel1 to 16 — The MIDI channel it sends on.
• Min0 to 100% — The lowest value of the swing (% of the range).
• Max0 to 100% — The highest value of the swing; Min above Max turns the wave upside down.
• RetriggerOff / On Note — On Note starts the cycle again at every note-on (free running only).
• Seed1 to 999 — Picks the random sequence: the same Seed always plays the same values.

Best uses

• Tempo-synced filter sweeps and wobbles on any synth
• Volume pumping and auto-pan without a sidechain
• Vibrato through pitch bend
• Slow random drift for movement

Properties

A MIDI effect; the audio passes through. Every 64 samples the value is worked out and sent when it changed, in time order with the incoming MIDI, which passes through untouched. Pitch bend is sent at 14-bit resolution. Random uses an exact Park-Miller sequence from Seed, so a render repeats.
