Controls

• Source Frequency50 to 300 Hz — Upper edge of the detection band: the input is low-passed here (and high-passed at a quarter of it); set it just above the bass notes you want to track
• Sub Level0 to 100% — Level of the generated sub
• Sub Octave-1 Octave / -2 Octaves / Both — Generated octave: −1 octave, −2 octaves, or both blended
• Original Mix0 to 100% — Level of the original signal
• Output−12 to +12 dB — Final output level

• Add a sub octave that follows bass lines and kick pitch
• Reinforce thin low end on small-speaker mixes
• Deepen synth and DI bass with an octave-down layer
• Cinematic rumble on hits and drones

Properties

Signal chain (per channel): Input → Band-Limit (HP at Source/4, 24 dB/oct LP at Source) → Zero-Crossing Tracker with Hysteresis → Flip-Flop Dividers (÷2, ÷4) × Band Envelope → 24 dB/oct Low-Pass → Sub Level + Original × Mix → Output Gain → Output. The sub follows the pitch of the played note and its level follows the bass band's dynamics; silence or no bass in the band produces no sub. Zero latency.
