Controls
Best uses
- Measure a surround or Atmos bed for a broadcast or streaming delivery
- Check a 5.1 film mix against EBU R128 or ATSC A/85
- Watch the true peak of every channel
- Compare the loudness of stems in a bed
Properties
ITU-R BS.1770-4 / EBU R128: every channel of the bed but the LFE is K-weighted and weighted by its place, 1.41 (+1.5 dB) for the speakers at 60 to 120 degrees (5.1 Ls/Rs, 7.1 sides) and 1.0 for the rest, then summed. Momentary, short-term, integrated (gated), loudness range (EBU Tech 3342) and the 4x true peak of every channel, LFE too. A 0 dBFS 997 Hz tone measures -3.01 LUFS on a front channel and -1.51 LUFS on a side, as the standard says. The audio passes through untouched. In REAPER set the track to 12 channels and route the pins to your bed. The player on this site plays pins 1 and 2 only.
