Controls

• Threshold−60 to 0 dB — Key level above which ducking starts.
• Depth−40 to 0 dB — How far the track is turned down while ducked.
• Attack0.1 to 50 ms — How fast the level drops once the key crosses Threshold.
• Hold0 to 500 ms — How long the level stays down after the key falls below Threshold.
• Release10 to 2000 ms — How fast the level recovers after Hold.
• KeySidechain / Main Input — Key source: Sidechain (track channels 3/4) or the track's own Main Input.
• Key High Pass0 to 500 Hz — High-passes the key so only its attack triggers ducking (0 = off).

Best uses

• Kick ducking the bass for a clean low end
• Music ducking under voice-over or podcast speech
• Pumping pads and synths from a kick
• Making room for a lead vocal

Properties

Key (sidechain channels 3/4 or main input) → optional high-pass → peak detector → threshold with hold → attack/release gain smoothing → stereo-linked gain on the main signal. Zero latency. In REAPER, send the key track to channels 3/4 of this track.
