Best uses

  • Everyday corrective and tonal EQ on any track, with up to eight bands
  • Steep low and high cuts (up to 96 dB/oct) to clean up rumble and hiss
  • Mid/side EQ on the mix bus: mono the lows, open up the side highs
  • Linear-phase mastering EQ that keeps transients and stereo image intact
  • Fix a single side of a stereo recording with Left or Right bands

Properties

Eight bands in series, each a bell, shelf (RBJ), notch, band pass, or a low or high cut built as a Butterworth cascade of 1 to 16 poles (6 to 96 dB/oct; Q 0.71 is flat, higher Q lifts the corner). Each band runs on stereo, mid, side, left or right. Zero Latency: biquad cascades, no latency. Linear Phase: the same magnitude response as a 2x2 matrix per frequency bin (so mid/side and left/right bands combine exactly), turned into four 8192-tap FIRs (Hann window) and run by 16384-point FFT convolution in 1024-sample blocks; latency 5120 samples, reported for delay compensation. Auto Gain: minus the mean level change of the bell and shelf bands over 64 log-spaced points from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (mid and stereo bands count fully, left and right half, side not), within ±24 dB. The GFX and VST3/CLAP interfaces draw the response over a live spectrum (post, pre or off); drag a node to set its frequency and gain.
